The Associated Students of Biomedical Engineering is a student organization focused on providing academic, social and professional opportunities to students interested in the field of biomedicine. USC's ASBME chapter also hosts the Makeathon every spring, a weekend long medical device design competition that gives students the ability to gain hands-on experience designing and developing medical devices.
