"The future is yours to decide, and I can't wait to see it."

Welcome to a new season of Storied Arcs! This go-round, Mike and Alex are diving into Shutter by Joe Keatinge and Leila del Duca from Image Comics, starting with Volume 1: Wanderlost (issues #1-6). They guys start by breaking down some of the well-worn narrative beats this story presents and examine how some of those tropes may have read differently in 2014 when this comic was first published. Then they go deep into their thoughts on what visual changes in the storytelling may (or may not) mean and what they do (or do not) signal to the reader. Finally, the guys praise the work of colorist Owen Gieni and letterer Ed Brisson and highlight some of their favorite bits from this first volume. And Mike learns about Surf Dracula.

The story continues with Shutter Volume 2: Way of the World (issues #7-12), so find it wherever you get your comics and join us here again next week to be a part of the discussion!
