Description

A dog guarding hay it can’t eat sounds silly—until we spot the same pattern at work, in love, and in our own heads. We unpack Aesop’s “Dog in the Manger” and trace how scarcity shows up as gatekeeping opportunities, hoarding credit, hovering after breakups, and withholding praise that costs us nothing to give. Along the way, we share the “cutting someone else’s clothes won’t make you stylish” metaphor as a quick gut check for envy and offer simple steps to shift from guarding to giving.
