Ange Millard has endured unimaginable heartache and trauma. Her story shows how things can change so quickly, from the arrival of healthy twins to the painful loss of her twin daughter Lucy at 3 years of age. It had an enormous effect on her, her family, her divorce, and the end of her life on the land. Ange had four children, and her journey into motherhood began with twins, a baby boy William, and a baby girl Lucy. They were born at 35 weeks happy and healthy, but a few days later everything changed for little Lucy. She'd contracted meningitis and very quickly was in the fight of her life. When she was just 8 months old, Ange and her then husband had to make the heartbreaking decision to put their baby girl into palliative care. Lucy lived until she was three years old, and while Ange's story is full of heartbreak, it's also a story of hope. Ange wants you all to know that she's not sharing her story for sympathy, but rather to show we are all capable of surviving life's worst moments. Today also marks the beginning of Perinatal Mental Health Week and Ange is passionate about mums talking about the hard stuff and admitting when they need help.
