The small red flowers of the dianthus give me a pleasant greeting as I spend a little time with it in the Ormond Garden. It reminds me of how I feel when I receive a pleasant greeting from people I know or people I don’t. The flower also inspires me to greet others pleasantly. I may never know how much this little act of kindness means and inspires others.
