A lot of artists can write a solid song, then wonder why the track still feels flat. I’m pulling back the curtain on my Kingdom Radio 2 process to show where the real transformation happens: moving from songwriting to arranging to full production decisions that make music feel alive.
I walk through the practical differences between songwriting, arranging, and music production using simple examples you can hear in your head. We talk about how arrangement is all about flow: what happens in the verse, what changes in the chorus, where counter-melodies live, and how transitions keep the listener leaning forward. I also dig into instrumentation and why choosing a genre target is not a “vibe” choice, it’s a roadmap for sound selection, band parts, and what your producer and engineer do next.
Then we get into the fun stuff: dynamics, leaving space, and building contrast so your chorus actually feels like a chorus. I share a real “trick of the trade” from the mixing and mastering world, plus the musician mindset that keeps bands from overplaying and cluttering the vocal. To bring it home, I break down the non-traditional opening approach behind my track Back to the Garden and how it sets up the album’s story.
