"God wants you to give abundantly through the gift of giving." This is one of many statements that some churches have misused to manipulate Christ's body. In Romans 15, we see that many troubles tested the people of Macedonia, who were very poor. Through their struggles and poverty, they gave what they had. They were filled with abundant joy.
