Do you know what the fear of the Lord is? Proverbs 1:7 explains, "Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." In this verse, the Hebrew word for fear of the Lord is reverent/reverence, which means to assume/respect God knows best. It's to have an attitude like, "I obey regardless of what I know or how I feel when the Lord speaks." Proverbs says that whoever stays on the right path fears the Lord. We know the level at which we fear the Lord is by the willingness we obey how He says to live. That means for us as a church; the Lord is giving us a word, which is to grow in fear of the Lord, which means we need to press pause on everything in our lives and start to assess our life according to the fear of the Lord.
