John's statement in Revelation 1:4-8 is clear that Jesus is the one. He is the source you need to align your life with.
In our culture, we have competing voices. The idea of the fear of the Lord is that amid these competing voices, we won't deviate from Jesus because He is it. Looking at the end, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. That should mean that Jesus is not an idea, but He is it. John is evident in his vision; we must decide if Jesus is the one. This should cause this formational truth in us to be like, "I don't need to wonder anymore. I am aligning my life with Him. Because I know He is more intelligent than me, He knows more than me, and I'm choosing to follow Him because He is it."
