How does Jesus reveal Himself to you?
Jesus revealed Himself to John in Revelation 1:13-16. What did Jesus say to John before He showed Himself? "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." No one in history has witnessed Jesus in more historical ways than John. It's very possible that they encountered each other in their youth - John has seen Jesus physically like no other man. But, Jesus, who now is, drives John to his knees, overcome with the fear of the Lord in verse 17. As believers in the 21st century, we long for the 2nd Coming, the Jesus who is to come. What if we can focus on Jesus who now is?
