The Church of Ephesus did a great job of doing the right things for the Kingdom of God, but they lacked the aspect of loving Jesus, which was more important. Jesus is the husband of the Church, and the Church is His bride. The Church of Ephesus left their first love. We can learn from the Church of Ephesus by identifying where we fell out of love with Jesus. We should follow Jesus' lead - Just as He loves His Bride, the Church, so should we love His Bride. When we don't live in love, we contradict Jesus because He is love.
