Cocktail recipes:
Dan’s Hot Toddy

• ¾ cup boiling water
• 1 ½ - 2 ounces Irish whiskey
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 tablespoon lemon fresh juice
• 1 lemon slice
• 1 cinnamon stick or dash of ground 
• 4-5 whole cloves or dash of ground
• 1 star anise

Preparation
Pour water into mug; add honey, lemon juice, and whiskey. Stir until honey dissolves. Add lemon slice and spices. Enjoy!

NYT Bourbon Milk Punch

• 1¼ ounces bourbon
• ½ ounce dark rum
• 2 ounces whole milk
• ⅛ ounce vanilla extract
• ½ ounce simple syrup
• 1 Dash of grated nutmeg

Preparation
In a mixing glass three-quarters filled with ice, pour the bourbon, rum, milk or cream, vanilla and simple syrup. Shake vigorously until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass. Dust with nutmeg.
