God is the covering of Christ, Christ is the covering of man, and the Husband is the covering for his wife.
Ephesians 5:23(NIV) "For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior."
If you're married your covering is God, your husband, and then your pastor. If you're single, your covering is God, your father, and then your pastor.
Because we live in a society where men are viewed as an acessory and not a neccessity, there are women who do not believe they need a covering. Christ has given man the responsibility to cover those under him.
