Now this is a tricky one Παθαίνω (patheno) is a greek verb and it mean 'to suffer', 'to sustain' 'to undergo something that is happening to me regardless of the impact it has, good or bad. From that derives the greek noun Πάθος (pathos) which nowadays, in modern Greek means 'passion' in English tho, it has kept the original meaning, PATHOS.
