Missing matriarch Nancy Guthrie, a relatively healthy, 84-year-old sharp-minded woman with only a few mobility issues, has been missing from her own home in Tucson, Arizona since Jan. 31.
With no known motive and no suspects identified, it’s the kind of situation that can make anyone feel vulnerable, and there are so many theories as to what could have happened.
Was it a pre-planned kidnapping? A robbery gone wrong? A stalker, sour grapes, revenge?
With on again, off again ransom demands for bitcoin and cyber currency and utilizing the entertainment site TMZ as a go-between, it only adds to the confusion and circus that surrounds the case.
Not to mention the reported tension between the Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI over mistakes, miscommunications and not sharing information.
What we do know for sure is that Nancy Guthrie has not been home in 23 days and like many others who are watching this mystery unfold we hope for a safe and happy return.
