Women aren't invisible. Invisibility isn't even a thing. Yet, we treat them as if they are. We don't see them for the value they bring to the workplace or the homefront. Don't believe me? Only 1 in 4 c-suite leaders are women. Only 1 in 20 are women of color. Outside of work, women do 75% of the world's unpaid labor such as care for children, working around the home, and shuttling children to and from school.

"Invisible Women" is a book by Caroline Criado Perez and it's one of the most important books ever written. Women in the Workplace is the largest study of work for women and it's been running for 8 years. It's done in a joint effort by McKinsey & Co. and LeanIn.org.

In this episode, we use these two sources as material for the show.  When we don't see women for the value they bring, we only see them for the function they perform and then we value that less that the function a man performs.

For women to Love Monday just like Friday, men need to understand, embrace and be voices for and agents of change.
