Scripture gives us many stories about King David, more stories than any other character in the whole bible. As the fulfillment of Israel's request for a human king, Scripture tells us that David was a man after God's own heart. In this, God chose the best human king for Israel. But David was not perfect. Far from it. God's best choice for a human king still sinned greatly against God and man. Such is the way with all human kings. So God sent another king, not of this world, but to live in this world, and to die to save it. Christ is the fulfillment of everything David wanted to be, but could not be, because of his sinful nature. Watch or listen and learn more about how far Christ went to redeem us from our sin.
