Prayer is connecting our thoughts with God thoughts. Effective prayer is not measured by how much we can get out of God. It's measured by how much of ourselves we are ready to turn over to God's management. Comfort, consumption & control are enemies of prayer. If you write your benefits in sand & care your injuries in marble, you need not pray.
