Continuing with a theme from last week, Dr. Sams contrasts for us the cultural value of our resume, CV, credit list, or references, etc. with eternal reality: God's standards are so high, that our greatest accomplishments give us no eternal credit. We fall into this trap again and again. The affirmation of our peers is powerful. But it doesn't last. What lasts is Christ's righteousness. Do you want peace, regardless of how bad life gets?
