When the church started in the first century, the Greek word for hope indicated that things were bound to go badly, and one could only *hope* things would not. Hope is a play on words in Romans 12:12. Dr. Sams takes us deeper into the word, and uses scripture to expand the meaning of "hope" to its truth: that we anchor in Jesus Christ, and He never fails us.
