We settle so often for shadows of peace. We accept things that are temporal, or worldly, instead of reaching for things that are eternal. God's enemy tries to convince us that shadows are enough - that if we just lean into them enough, they will suffice. But once you see light, such as the Advent of Christ, or after a rough night of camping (have a listen to find out what that means), you cannot settle any longer for shadows of peace. And the best news at Christmas, is that Christ, the Prince of Peace, is with us.
