Thanksgiving has multiple levels. We sing songs of thanksgiving, but depending on the condition of our soul, the credibility of those songs can be questioned. Thanksgiving can be shallow, or it can come from a place of deep peace & stability. Dr. Sams illustrates the difference for us, shows us the trap of shallow thanksgiving, and challenges us to find the deepest anchor point in Christ. From that place can well up credible, sustainable, live-giving offerings of thanks that are full of grace and truth.
