Supernatural Season 3, Episode 4, Sin City recap 🫦 A small factory town in Ohio has gone full sin city (gambling, booze, and ladies of the night), and the Winchesters find out that demons have a lot more faith than they expected, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.
The episode opens with Bobby and Dean tinkering with the broken Colt, bickering like father and son. Sam finds omens in Elizabethville, Ohio, where a priest's prayer for help is followed by... a suicide. The boys head to the local bar, which is the only place in town that's hopping, meet the hot bartender Casey (Sasha Barrese) and a regular named Trotter (Don S. Davis), and soon track down a demon (Robert Curtis Brown). While Sam works the case topside, Dean ends up trapped in a basement with Casey, and the two of them have a surprisingly deep conversation about God, Lucifer, and what demons actually believe.
Episode Highlights:
In the lore segment, we dig into succubi and incubi: demons that seduce sleepers, how sleep paralysis and hypnagogic hallucinations may explain the legend, Lilith's story as Adam's first wife in the Alphabet of Ben Sira and the Zohar, and the four queens of the demons (great band names, honestly). Plus, the pope who allegedly owed his career to a succubus, and our moment of silence for Brandon Boyd.
"You could fit that ass on a nickel." – Dean Winchester
