Supernatural Season 6, Episode 3, The Third Man recap 🪽 Cops are dying from biblical plagues, Dean prays Cas's feathery ass down from heaven, and we meet the angel Balthazar (Sebastian Roché), who's stolen some of heaven's most dangerous weapons, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.
The episode opens with a police officer dying from a horrific case of loose skin, giving us our 32nd blood splooge of the series. Then more cops start dying from boils, locusts, and frogs, and the boys realize something biblical is going on. Enter Cas (Misha Collins), who reveals that heaven is in the middle of a civil war with the Archangel Raphael (Demore Barnes), and someone has stolen the Staff of Moses. The trail leads to a little boy who wants revenge for his father, and to a very charming, very sketchy angel named Balthazar.
Episode Highlights:
In the lore segment, we dig into the Staff of Moses: its legendary origins in the Garden of Eden, how it was passed down from Adam to Moses, and the tradition that it's hidden away until the Messianic age.
Dean: "Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray to Castiel to get his feathery ass down here."
Sam: "You're an idiot."
Dean: "Stay positive."
Sam: "Oh, I am positive."
