Description

Welcome to this episode of "There is Nothing Wrong With You"! In this episode, we will explore the three primary functions of the lower brain: fear, ease, and desire.

As human beings, we are programmed with these functions to protect us and keep us alive. Fear is a response that alerts us to potential danger and prepares us to take action. Ease is a state of relaxation that allows us to rest and restore ourselves after periods of stress or exertion. Desire drives us to pursue things that we need or want, such as food, water, shelter, and social connection.

Despite the important role these functions play in our survival, they can also cause us to feel anxious, stressed, and dissatisfied with our lives. You will learn about the two types of fear and how the second one sole purpose is to get you to play small. Do you find you say things like, I'm just lazy or I don't finish things? We may believe that there is something inherently wrong with us if we experience fear, struggle to get moving or learn something new, or feel like our desires are never fully satisfied.

In this episode, we will delve into the nature of these functions and how they interact with our conscious thoughts and behaviors. We will explore ways to reframe our relationship with fear, ease, and desire so that we can live more fully and authentically.

Join us as we discover that there is nothing wrong with us and that we have everything we need to thrive in this world.
