🔥 Day 52 — God’s Law Revealed
📖 Exodus 20
Today we stood at Mount Sinai.
Thunder rolled. Lightning flashed. The mountain trembled. And God spoke.
The Ten Commandments were not given as cold rules from a distant deity — they were given as covenant words from a redeeming God.
Before He ever said, “You shall…”
He first said, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.”
Law followed grace.
Deliverance came before instruction.
The commandments reveal more than moral expectations — they reveal God’s character:
• He alone is worthy of worship.
• He is holy.
• He values truth.
• He protects life.
• He guards marriage.
• He honors rest.
• He cares about the heart, not just behavior.
The Law was not meant to restrict joy but to shape a people who reflect Him.
It shows us what righteousness looks like.
It exposes where we fall short.
And it points us to our need for a Savior.
Sinai reminds us that holiness matters.
But it also reminds us that the God who gives the Law is the God who rescues.
The commandments are not a ladder to climb — they are a mirror that leads us to Christ.
