Jesus growth in the Lord was unique in one sense but in another completely normal.
In the next gospel passage he even expresses surprise that they would not know where he would be.
Are we making repentant children and passing the faith on to the next generation?
Do we pray that our children would exceed us in their faith and do we take this command seriously for the whole generation below us not just our own immediate families?
Are we reproducing our faith?
