For centuries, people have educated, and changed their communities, and societies by a combination of reading and listening to other people's stories. The world has made incredible success and change due to someone speaking up and talking about their experiences and how it has shaped their lives.
There is passion in every story. There is also vulnerability and truth in testimonies that come from the heart. By telling our stories, there is always hope that can from it. Hope for the people who choose to share, and hope for others who hear and understand it. Hope breeds hope, and gives everyone a chance for a better tomorrow.
AWC eagerly feels that in order to massively create change, and provide value to others, we need to bring light and love to people's stories in agriculture.
AWC is honored to invite you to be a part of our story telling live zoom and Podcast every single week on Thursdays at noon CST.
This week, we will be shedding light, and compassion, to those who have experienced mental illness and tragedy in the agricultural industry. Sadly, we know the statistics. Farmers and Ranchers are 1.5 times more likely to commit suicide and closely follow behind our veterans. This is an absolute crisis in our industry.
Thursday we will gently offer this conversation to anyone who wants to share their experience or give a piece of advice to others going through hardship. Together, by opening this conversation, I believe we can truly help others through their difficult times. Sometimes all people need to hear and know is that they have non judgmental support and a listening ear. AWC is working tirelessly behind the scenes to gather resources for every single state in the nation to search and plug into for support and relief.
