My guest on this episode is Carissa Thomas. While her title labels her a Revenue Enablement Leader at a hyper-growth SaaS company, she is also a collaborator, coach, strategist, mentor and lifelong learner. Her personal mission is to not just leave her mark on the world, but for her work to impact and amplify excellence in others. Which, we have heard from her team, she is doing just that!

Outside of her corporate gig, she enables others on their individual journeys. This shows up in ways of wellness retreats and one to one connection and coaching. She was labeled as “The Enabler” as early as her childhood and now has that title in her job. Helping others is what fulfills her.

If you want to learn more about the retreats she hosts with her friend Lauren, you can find it here: https://www.laurenrosella.com/ or if you want to reach out to Carissa directly you can email her at carissa.b.thomas@gmail.com.

I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with Carissa, and I think you will too.  Here are some of the key takeaways:

1.     Success can be defined as a feeling of fulfillment in your personal and professional life. Reaching milestones and achieving goals may go into that feeling, but helping others is really the thing that gives that feeling of fulfillment.

 2.     100% of what we do is about mindset. Intentionally showing up and putting your best foot forward and finding the good in the situation

 3.     Become a fierce protector of your team. Coaching, developing, offering feedback, listening, and holding space for them to vent builds mutual respect. When that energy is put forward you will attract that same energy.

 4.     Building trust is a foundational component to any relationship, personal or work. And, the most important person to trust is yourself. Making commitments and following through on that is what builds trust and a mutual respect.

 5.     Listen to your gut. You always know whether you’re making a right or wrong decision, it’s just whether you’re willing to listen or not. If something doesn’t align with your values, doesn’t feel safe or allow you to be your authentic self, it’s probably not the right place for you.

 6.     Burnout can seem inevitable, but it comes in cycles. In order to recognize and reduce burnout it is important to be aware and understand “what compromises am I making for this project, work, company, etc.” and then
