Exodus 14:21-31
As slaves, they fear the strength of the Egyptians, but in passing through the Red Sea the Israelites are reborn as God's children. The story concludes with the people putting their trust in the Lord, as a child trusts their parents. We don't have to be slaves to our past, but in Christ, we are reborn as God's sons and daughters.
