Joseph Stalin, ironically, once said, "the people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." Ouch. That quote stings a bit coming from a communist considering the current state of our 2020 election heading almost certainly to recounts, court challenges, and maybe even the Supreme Court. Who knows? We made it, sort of, past the election. Yet the ride is not over. Hopefully, it ends soon, but we are probably in for a long contentious, and turbulent period of time. How should Americans handle this situation? What if I told you, this moment in time, this crazy election, in this crazy year could become the catalyst for change in your life in which you never view external events the same again? This could be the time you learn to control negative emotions and produce positive outcomes. You can easily learn simple stoic mental exercises to hone your energies towards positive actions and discard the things that cause useless stress, anger, and worry during this election drama and beyond. No life coach, psychologists or anti-depressant drugs needed. :-)
