Society needs to recognize the inherent dangers social media poses for culture. Through this recognition, we can reduce stress, anxiety, and anger we experience participating in the various platforms. In this podcast, we analyze ad hominin attacks, which are fallacies in reasoning, used every day on social media. We will use a tweet by Tom Arnold as an example. He is by no means an A-list actor or high-level media influencer, but he is a Hollywood actor and has been around awhile. In looking at one post, we can see how certain ad hominem attacks when multiplied by the thousands daily can destroy the fabric of society. Not simply through ad hominin attacks but how this breeds an "us' versus "them" mindset. Finally, the podcasts look at ways to but out the heat and anger from those that seek to tear down versus have meaningful dialogue.
