Every once in a while, I run across a blog post or article that truly captures my attention. A student essay titled, "She Tried," published by John H. Clark III on his blog has stuck with me this holiday season.Educators can surely relate to this student essay, but also any parent, grandparent, business leader, or manager, can appreciate this too. It's real short but packed with some important life lessons for everyone. You can read it here .As we move towards closing out this difficult year of 2020, there are a couple of key messages in this essay that are worthy of consideration and amplification that go beyond the words in her essay: (1) never quit and (2) always encourage and support those around you. There are two salient points the writer articulates. The first is we should, no we must, never quit and just try, just step in the arena and begin! Secondly, your power to encourage others to act and persevere can lead to incredible results.
