Nectar Talks Episode 40
-Filming Srila Prabhupada and His Movement Through the Lens of Love-
With Yadubara Das
In 1968, Yadubara was given a professional photography assignment to cover the Hare Krishna movement in New York City. A year or so later he was given another assignment to do the same in India. That resulted in his becoming a Hare Krishna devotee, and as the first filmmaker on the scene, he was in a prime position to document the spiritual revolution of ISKCON. He and his wife Vishakha traveled with Srila Prabhupada, filming and photographing him extensively. Thanks to them, we have film footage, movies, lectures and much more, illustrating the early days of ISKCON and providing everlasting images of Srila Prabhupada.
