In this second installment of the Friends Don't Lie Files Ian takes us through the beginnings of one of the most infamous classified government experiments, and the one that is often mentioned in Stranger Things; MKUltra.
After the 2nd world war, to avoid prosecution, many scientist from Nazi Germany fled to the US in what we would later learned was called Operation Paperclip.
From these scientist, and their previous experiments for the Nazis, the US started various experiments to see what chemicals they could use to control someone. This began the less well known Operation Artichoke, which would give birth to the more well known, and even more sinister, MKUltra.
