W – Wonder
More than ever, I’ve felt this desire to hear stories from the “Silent Generation” (individuals born between 1928-1945). The experiences they have endured and the wisdom they carry is a deep treasure. Who in your life do you know from this generation?
A – Activate
Pick one person from your list and make a plan to call them or go over to their home this week. Ask them to share one or two stories from their life and ask Jesus to help you catch the wisdom from their words. If you aren’t friends with anyone from that generation, see if you can plan a visit to a local senior center.
Y – Yield
Pray this prayer with me: God, thank you for bringing this person to mind. Would you help to connect us together this week? Prepare my heart to see what you are doing in their life and how I can partner with you to listen and learn from them. Amen.
