1 Samuel 24:14–20 NIV
When Saul saw the actions of David in sparing his life and how David approached and related to him in humility, despite all he had done, he was touched. He was so touched that not only did he call David “son”, he declared for certain that David would become the next king of Israel.
This is the same person who recruited 3,000 people to kill David, as he was so focused on ending David’s life. He couldn’t touch David.
The effect love can have on others is mind-blowing, melting the strongest of hearts.
As ambassadors of Christ, we are billboards for Christ; to showcase this, we need to act in love. When people see that consistent character of love despite all that is happening around us or even what they may throw at us, they will indeed be led to God.
Today. Let love lead!
