1 Samuel 17:20–27, 32 NIV

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear" Nelson Mandela

As David prepared to confront Goliath, seeing how he taunted the Israelites, David’s reaction to Goliath was different from that of the Israelite soldiers. He decided to be brave in reaction to Goliath and focused on the testimonies where God delivered him from the paws of the lion and the bear while protecting his sheep, thus seeing Goliath as one of the lions or bears he had triumphed over.

When we are faced with difficult situations, the first thing that comes to mind is probably fear. We have a choice: to be brave and overcome fear or to be overwhelmed by it. Like David, we can feel fear but still focus on triumphing.

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life's seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
