Genesis 47:13-22
Today we discuss how Joseph built wealth for Pharaoh during the famine season. The famine was so severe that the people of Egypt and Canaan had spent their money, then sold all their livestock and land, and even became servants to Pharaoh to get food to eat. Thereby transferring wealth from these countries to Pharaoh.
But you see, because Joseph had obeyed and followed God, he and the Israelites were on the other side, living in abundance. His obedience did not only benefit him and his household but also pharaoh, the Egyptians, and the world at large.
