1 Samuel 17:34–39 NIV
When David approached Saul to fight Goliath, he anchored on the testimony of God saving him from the paws of the lion and the bear. And so, even though the situation with Goliath seemed significant and everyone was frightened, He saw Goliath as one of the lions and bears that he wrestled with and killed. So his response to Goliath's taunt was not fear but bravery! anchored on his past testimonies. Just like the Bible verse below says:
"I will [earnestly] recall the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will [earnestly] remember the wonders [You performed for our fathers] of old. I will meditate also upon all Your works and consider all Your [mighty] deeds."
Psalm 77:11-12 AMPC
