1 Samuel 17:34–40 NIV
When Saul offered David his armour, helmet, and sword to fight Goliath, David tried them but he was not use to them and so removed them.
He was use to being a shepherd not a warrior and so he went the war dressed as a shepherd with the least without these protections and yet still killed the biggest giant at the war.
Why? Because he embraced Gods strategy.
The armour and helmet though meant to protect the warrior, in this instance would have cost him the battle! For example - how would he have swinged the sling with so much velocity to hit Goliath’s head in an armour that was weighing him down?
Over to us? What norms may be stopping us from embracing Gods strategy?
David was able to do the extraordinary because he embraced Gods strategy and not the norms of the war. Food for thought 💭. Embrace Gods strategy today.
