1 Samuel 20:1-14, 24-33 NIV
In this message, we see Jonathan standing in as a destiny helper for David. It was very inconvenient because of all that was going on, even to the point that Saul hurled a spear at Jonathan (his son) because he was helping David.
Destiny-helping may not be smooth or easy. Especially when God is sending us to people we do not want to help, don’t like, or don’t seem like they can return the favour.
But if God has called us to be destiny helpers, then in obedience we must do our best to do so. Imagine if Joseph refused to help his brothers because of all the horrible things they did to him. He wouldn’t have fulfilled his purpose on earth to be a forerunner for his family.
May God give us the grace to help with love, especially in those tough situations. Amen!
