Bible reading: Acts 1:12-26 NIV
Today, we discuss Mathias and Barsabbas who were nominated to replace Judas Iscariot. Both had followed Jesus from the beginning of His ministry up until the end - working diligently and consistently.
An opportunity came up to be part of the 12 with Judas passing and these men were chosen because of their diligence and commitment! They didn’t even know an opportunity will rise in the first place but they continued to do their work to the Lord. It is also interesting to also see how the Apostles also let the Holy Spirit decide who amongst them would be chosen. As the Holy Spirit indeed knows the heart of a man and operates with full information, knowing what is ahead.
Sometimes we work diligently and wonder if and when opportunities will rise. But keep at it - remember God is working everything for the good of those who love Him. You are at the Center of His Will and He is preparing you for that very
platform where you shine so boldly. Whatever work you have done will be useful. No knowledge or experience will be lost - it will surprise you!
