Genesis 48:10, 12–19 NIV
In today’s message, we see how Jacob blessed the two sons of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh, putting his right hand on the younger, and his left on the elder, according to God’s leading. He shows us something inspiring, being that although he was old and his eyes dim, he did not depend on his eyes to act, but followed God’s leading and instructions.
This just shows us how we sometimes act—we tend to navigate life by depending on our own abilities. But we need to rely on God and follow His leadings, as He is the one who can lead us to the purpose He has created us for. If not, we may be successful in what we think the destination is based on our plans, but not in what God has predestined for us. In which case can we truly say we are successful if we are not fulfilling what God created us for?
Rely on God.
