1 Samuel 22:18-20

We go again, continuing from last week’s message, with emphasis on Doeg the Edomite, who followed Saul’s instructions to kill the priest of Nob. We see Doeg following blindly because he wanted to please Saul no matter what it took, without stopping to think for one second, “Am I doing the right thing?”

It’s so easy to follow blindly; it may not be as gross as Doeg’s experience, but it can be in the simple things. In our workplace, in our area of operation, where we are under authorities, we may be asked to do things that are seemingly no brainier but may not align with our values and beliefs. We need to always check—does this align with my values? At the end of the day, in everything we do, we are leading ourselves, so going down routes that contradict who we are and impact us first, no matter how small. So it is important.

Remember, we can always ask God for wisdom in those tricky situations, and God will gladly give us what we need in those situations.

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
