1 Samuel 18:22–26 NIV
Here we continue from yesterday’s discussion. In hindsight, we see that Jonathan was God. But if you look at the story, there were so many other players that could have been perceived as helpers. For example, Saul’s attendants. The same people who convinced David to marry Michal were the same attendants Saul had sent to kill David.
If David was forcing his way through to get the favour of the attendants, they would have either delivered him to Saul or killed him themselves. Because their loyalty was to the king, Saul.
This is why it is important for us to recognise and accept who God has sent to help us—through those seasons of our lives. Our help may not come from the multitude or the people we expect, but God has the right person/people with the the heart for us.
𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on life’s seasons. Life is in seasons - so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to learn with me.
