1 Samuel 19:9–18 NIV
God was very specific about the people he set aside to help David in troubled times with Saul. Out of everyone around him, God used the children of King Saul—the prince and heir to the throne and princess Michal.
Michal loved David dearly, and although Saul’s intention was to give Michal to David as a wife so she could be a snare to David and at the same time position for the bride price, David in the hands of the Philistines to kill him. But God used her as an asset to deliver David out of Saul’s hands. She warned David of Saul’s plot so that he would be able to escape.
God specially chose them, as they were in the best position to know Saul’s heart and plans and oppose Saul’s decision to kill David. None of Saul’s attendants could do that, as their loyalty was to serve the king.
God sends helpers in tough seasons! The right people in the right positions and in the specific areas we need.
