1 Samuel 17:4–16 NIV
As Goliath stood to confront the armies of Israel and challenge them, the Israelites were not only afraid of Goliath but also terrified of their perception of what Goliath could do to them, even though they had not even seen him fight yet. Their imaginations ran wild, and so Israel was turned upside down because of this fear.
This is how the devil puts different fearful thoughts that lead to paralysing fears in our hearts, which further amplifies the Goliaths before us. So they look and feel bigger than they are.
But we should not let that fear stop us from doing what we need to do. No matter how amplified and large those challenges before us are, they are still smaller than an atom to God. So with God's backing, confront those fears. It would surely be challenging, but it is doable, and I am evidence of that. Do it, afraid.
Remember, we have the backing of God.
