Genesis 41:45–46 NIV
As we shine our light, we should always remember that - all the glory must be to the Lord. This is two fold - we should give glory to the Lord and when others see our good work they should glorify our Father in heaven. Just like Matthew 5:16 says
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
As an example: After Pharaoh saw the works of Joseph he gave him the name Zaphnath-Paaneah which means “God speaks and lives”. Here we see Pharaoh who worshipped other gods reverencing the one true God because Joseph let his light so shine!
This is how we should shine our light and do good works, in a way that people should glorify God when they see these works!
God help us shine our light and do incredibly great works as He has asked us to.
