Genesis 41:45, vs 50-52 NIV
In addition to being the governor of Egypt. I found it interesting that Pharaoh also gave Joseph Asenath, the daughter of the priest of On as a wife.
The priest of On at that time led the worship of the Egyptian sun god as such was a sacred position for Egyptians at the time. I wondered why pharaoh will give Joseph a wife from the family that led idol worshipping in Egypt, knowing quite clearly the difference in faith?. Perhaps it was because Pharaoh believed in the God of Joseph that he wanted him in close proximity to perhaps influence the idol worshipping in Egypt,
We see that the daughter of the priest of On took Joseph’s faith as their children - Manasseh and Ephraim were both Isreal names. The bible does not document how many others that Joseph influenced and came to the faith but it’s interesting to see this positioning.
As we have learnt in previous episodes, whatever the position we are now, let’s shine our light and so people come seeking the God that we serve as they see the difference in us and get eager our source - God

𝙅𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 is a short clip intended to grow and equip us in our trust walk with God. The current focus is on our personal processes with God, where we learn to trust and submit to His will. We are all on a process with God - no one is an expert on it, so it is important that we lean in and learn from the Holy Spirit. So I am grateful that every episode is inspired by the Holy Spirit. I am so grateful to be used as a vessel for this purposes. I encourage you to learn with me. Please subscribe to get alerts about new episodes and follow us on social media.
